The government of the Netherlands has decided during the year 2024 to transfer an additional EUR 400 million to Ukraine for defence against russia’s full-scale invasion. In total, the country's budget for this year allocated about EUR 2 billion for Ukraine for military support, rehabilitation of servicemen and reconstruction. The current government also budgeted EUR 1.5 billion to support Ukraine in 2025. The funds are part of an effort to increase defense spending to meet NATO's 2% of GDP target.

Norway is ready to transfer 22 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as part of the “fighter coalition”. With the consent of the USA, engines, auxiliary materials, aerobatic simulators and other relevant equipment will also be delivered to Ukraine.

President of Poland Andrzej Duda has promised to work out the issue of transferring soviet-era air-defense missiles to Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk believes that the West should use all blocked russian assets to help Ukraine, not just excess profits from them. According to him, the government of Estonia supports this proposal. The Co-Leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Lars Klingbeil also advocates the use of frozen russian assets, in particular for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine.

President of Moldova Maya Sandu, at a meeting with Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren, called for supplying Ukraine with more air defense systems.

Ukraine and Slovakia have reached an agreement on the joint production and provision of ready-made engineering equipment for demining to our country.

Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Christopher Cavoli believes that the provision of the necessary assistance, primarily artillery ammunition, is the key to Ukraine's victory in the war, which is increasingly becoming a competition between the industrial military complexes of the adversaries.

On April 15, in Sofia, Ukraine and Bulgaria will hold the Second Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimean Platform, with participation of 42 countries and 8 international organizations.

Chief of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell has said that he expects “bold decisions” for Ukraine from the joint meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the EU countries on April 22. “Words alone will not stop putin. We must deliver more military support (to Ukraine)...”, Borrell stressed.

“We will be at the meeting proposed by Switzerland, we will be with all the countries that want lasting peace, that is, peace that respects international law and rules”, said President of France Emmanuel Macron regarding his country's participation in the Peace Summit.

Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz has assured that the government of Germany welcomes the upcoming summit on Ukraine in Switzerland and is trying to help attract as many participants as possible to it.

Ukraine and Poland are negotiating a bilateral security agreement.

The Czech Republic intends to sign a security agreement with Ukraine in May-June.

The EU is preparing to approve Ukraine's reform plan in May, which will unlock the additional payment of EUR 1.9 billion of EU financial aid to our country at the end of spring.

“What Ukraine is doing is self-defense. Ukraine strikes military targets that directly provide fuel for combat vehicles that destroy people and homes in Ukraine”, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsakhna said regarding attacks on russian oil refineries.

Greenpeace of Germany has concluded that russian armed forces are deliberately using the Zaporizhzhia NPP as a shield and part of the route during Shahed UAV attacks on communities in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions in recent months. The time for unloading a vessel in Jabal Ali increased from one to five days, and for loading it increased to two days. The cost of shipping between the rf and the UAE in the first quarter increased by 40% compared to last year.

Since the end of March, Chinese banks have been blocking payments from russian companies for components for electronics assembly. The first such cases in December concerned mainly finished products. Now transfers for components for servers, storage systems, and laptops are being blocked. China is actually the only supplier of components to russia, but banking institutions fear secondary sanctions, which could add to the rf's problems with procurement.

The ministry of labor of the rb has suggested that belarusians living and working abroad pay 29% of their income for pension insurance. However, in order to get the opportunity to pay contributions to the fund of social protection of the population, one will have to come to the rb and register in person at the district department of the territorial body of the fund of social protection of the population at one’s place of residence.
