The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Makes Public the Declassified Documents Concerning Symon Petlyura

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine continues declassifying documents of the repressive totalitarian communist regime of 1917-1991 years, kept in the SZRU Branch State Archive and offers the public new socially important materials on the history of Ukraine.

The citizens now can read the fully declassified secret documents of the Foreign Department of the OGPU (the Foreign Intelligence Department of the Joint State Political Directorate) dated by June, August and December 1926, concerning the murder of the Ukrainian statesman and politician Symon Petlyura, and socio-political processes taking place at that time in Ukraine, Poland, Germany and England. Among other things, there is Chairman of the GPU of the Ukrainian SSR Balytskyi’s report to the Secretary General of the Communist Party / of Bolsheviks / Kaganovich “On the Case of Petlyura’s Murder”.
