Biography
Born on April 27, 1972, in Kyiv.
Education:
in 2013 – graduated from the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS), Great Britain; in 2009 – earned a Degree in Law at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; in 1994 – graduated from the Institute of Cryptography, Telecommunications and Computer Science (IKSI) in Moscow with a Degree in Applied Mathematics. (underwent lustration in 2015)
Speaks three languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.
Work Experience:
08.1994 – 08.1998 – served as Officer, Senior Officer, and Chief Expert of the Main Directorate of Government Communications at the Security Service of Ukraine.
08.1998 – 05.2005 – held positions of Senior Advisor, Head of Department, Deputy Director and First Deputy Director at the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
1998-2007, 2010-2014 - Visiting Assistant, Visiting Associate Professor, and Visiting Professor in the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
06.2005 – 12.2007 – Head of Directorate, Head of the Expert Commission, Head of the National Security Department at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
12.2007 – 08.2009 – Deputy Chief of the Information-Analytical Provision Department at the Security Service of Ukraine.
08.2009 – 05.2010 – Advisor to the Director of the Institute of National Security Problems at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
06.2010 – 03.2014 – Deputy Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
05.04.2014 – 13.08.2019 – Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
13.08.2019 - 23.07.2021 - Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
On July 23, 2021, by Decree of the President of Ukraine # 303/2021, Oleksandr LYTVYNENKO was appointed Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Distinguished Figure in Science and Technology of Ukraine.
Major-General.
Civil servant of the 2nd rank.
Awards: the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the V Class, the Honorary Award of the President of Ukraine – the Jubilee medal on “25 Years of Independence of Ukraine”.
Married, has a son and a daughter.
Andrii ALIEKSIEIENKO
First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine
Biography
Born July 29, 1963 in Chernihiv region.
A graduate of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Worked in different posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
November 27, 2017, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 389/2017, Andrii Alieksieienko was appointed First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
March 16, 2019 - June 11, 2019 — Acting Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
Oleksandr TARASOVSKYI
Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine
Biography
Born on May 22, 1972 in Chernihiv.
Graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Military Aviation in 1994, the Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine in 2009, and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” in 2019, has Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Worked in different posts in the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
January 21, 2022, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine №18 / 2022, was appointed Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
Married, has two sons.
